Services and production types

The production types you offer and the extra services you sell, which departments do them, and how they set mockups, due dates and prices.

Settings > Services holds two lists. Only the Owner and Admins can change them.

  • Production types are how lines are made: Screen print, Embroidery, DTF transfer, 3D print and so on. They're suggested when you type a decoration on a product, quote or order, and decide which department a job goes to.
  • Extra services are work you sell alongside, such as design time, folding and bagging, or swing tags.

New accounts start with the usual production types and two example extras. Add your own, rename them, or untick In use to hide one.

Adding or changing a service

Click Add a production type or Add an extra service, or Edit on one in the list.

Setting What it does
Name What it's called. Lines whose decoration contains it use it: "Embroidery, left chest" is Embroidery.
Colour A dot on production cards and in lists, so you can tell work apart at a glance.
Description For your team, or shown under the service on quotes (extras).
Mockup before production Production types only. Use the product or business setting, Always send a mockup, or No mockup (for example 3D printing from the customer's file). A product's own setting comes first.
Extra working days Production types only. Added to the product's lead time for the due date, for example for curing.
Price and how it's charged Extras only: each, per order or per hour, before VAT.
Done by the workshop Extras only. Tick for work production does, like folding and bagging: it then shows on the order, production cards and job sheets.
Daily target and Turnaround target For production targets (Business plan).
Departments that do it Approved jobs of this type go to one of these. Leave all unticked and they go to a department that takes anything.

Use Up and Down to change the order in lists. Delete removes a service; lines that used it keep what was typed.

Who does what

With more than one department, the table at the bottom of the page shows which department does each service. You can also tick services on each department under Settings > Production. See Sites, departments and production queues.

Extra services on quotes and orders

On a quote, choose from + Extra service... under the lines. It's added at its usual price, which you can change. When the quote becomes an order, extras done by the workshop go on the order, under Extra services.

On a new order, or when editing one, tick the extra services the workshop is doing for it.
