Production and dispatch
Production targets
Daily targets for departments and production types, turnaround and on-time goals, and how you're doing against them. Business plan.
Production targets are part of the Business plan. They show whether each department and production type is finishing what it should, how long jobs take, and how much goes out on time.
Setting targets
- Each department: Settings > Production, choose the department, and fill in Daily target (items finished).
- Each production type: Settings > Services, Edit, and fill in Daily target and Turnaround target (working days from approval to ready to dispatch).
- On time: at the bottom of the Production targets page, set On-time delivery target (%).
Leave any target empty if you don't use it.
Seeing how you're doing
Open Production and click Targets (or Reports > Production targets). Choose Today, This week or Last 30 days.
- Items finished: items made ready to dispatch, against the departments' targets added up for the working days so far.
- Dispatched on time: lines dispatched on or before their due date, against your on-time target.
- Average turnaround: working days from approval to ready.
- In production now: items approved or on the board.
Below, each department and production type has its finished items, target, a bar against the target (green on target, blue close, pink behind), what's in production, turnaround, and how much was ready by its due date. Last ten working days charts each department's daily output, with its target as a dashed line.
People who only work in some departments see just those.
Switching targets off
If you don't work to targets, untick Use production targets in Settings > Business and branding. The page and target fields disappear; the targets you set are kept if you turn them back on. Targets are on to start with.
