White labelling and your own domain

Take our name off everything your team and customers see (Business plan), and run on your own web address (any plan).

Open Settings > White label and domain. Only the Owner and Admins can change these settings.

Your brand only

White labelling is part of the Business plan, once you've subscribed to it. It isn't in the free trial. With it turned on, the ArtworkDesk name and logo come off:

  • the app itself: your logo and name are in the menu, and your name is in the browser tab, and the Help link is hidden;
  • customer pages: mockup approvals, quotes, order progress and price lists;
  • emails to customers and your team, which no longer end with "Sent with ArtworkDesk";
  • anything printed or saved as a PDF.

Tick Remove ArtworkDesk branding and click Save.

On other plans, customer pages, printouts and emails carry a small "Made with" or "Sent with" ArtworkDesk line. If you move off the Business plan, the branding comes back on its own, and your setting is kept for when you return.

Your logo, colour and business name come from Settings > Business and branding. See Business details and branding.

Your own domain

On any plan you can run ArtworkDesk on an address of your own, like orders.yourbusiness.co.uk, instead of yourname.artworkdesk.com. Your team signs in there, and every link in your emails goes there.

You can do this while your free trial or subscription is current. There's a one-off set-up fee, because we add your domain and its security certificate by hand. The page shows the price. The fee isn't refundable once paid, and it covers that one domain.

  1. Under Your own domain, enter the domain and click Continue. We recommend a subdomain such as orders. or portal., so your website stays where it is.
  2. The Owner clicks Pay and pays the fee on the secure payment page. You'll get a VAT invoice by email.
  3. Add the DNS record shown on the page where your domain's DNS is managed. That's usually your domain registrar, your web host or Cloudflare. If someone else looks after your website, send them the details. On Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud).
  4. Click Check the record. New records can take a few hours to appear.
  5. We set up the domain and its certificate, usually within one working day of the record being right. The status changes to Live.

Once your domain is live, your team signs in at the new address. Links in emails you sent before still work and take people to the new address.

To use a different domain, click Stop using this domain (or Remove or change domain before it's live) and add the new one. A different domain is a new request with its own fee. Adding the same domain back doesn't need a second fee, as long as you haven't paid for a different one since. It goes back to Being set up until we switch it on again.

Your own domain keeps working if you change plan. If your account pauses, for example because the trial ended without a plan or you cancelled, your own domain is paused and everyone is taken back to your usual address. It comes back when you choose a plan.
